Amid remembering Jonghyun, SHINee Minho and Key pierced Shawols' hearts with their warm words for their late co-member and brother.
On December 18, 2017, Kim Jonghyun, one of the most beloved stars in the K-pop scene, left the physical world.

SHINee Key Shares Regrets, Honest Thoughts on Late Jonghyun's Passing
On the same day six years after, SHINee Key remembered Jonghyun by posting a lengthy message on his Instagram.
Along with past photos of the late member and the current snaps taken with Minho and Taemin, Key made Shawols (fandom) teary-eyed by revealing his "what ifs."
In his post, he greeted his late older brother first, saying:
"It's been a while, hyung (older brother). It's very cold today and my bones are sore, but strangely, I wanted to see my hyung on my own today. "
Key also updated the status of the co-members Jonghyun left behind, saying:
"Taemin finished yesterday's concert magnificently. We are all doing well on our own and taking care of ourselves."
As he continued, Key then shared his regret about the late idol's passing while feeling grateful for the gifts that he gave them in return.
"As we got older, I sometimes have this kind of thought once in a while, if we cherish and respect each other more like we do now, wouldn't we feel less regretful about the time that had passed, of course, even these thoughts are one of the great gifts that hyung left behind for us."
Lastly, he again thanked Jonghyun and conveyed love for him.
"We who have passed hyung's age, have become more solid-hearted and becoming children who are honest with their feelings. Thank you.
"Every year, when a new year comes, I think of you a lot, I hope you're doing well there, I love you and miss you always,
From Kibum."
SHINee Minho Shares Past Photos of Late Jonghyun, Message
Ahead of Key, Minho also uploaded past photos of Jonghyun along with his message to him. He particularly assured him about their promise to take care of the late idol's family while he's away.
"This year, I miss hyung even more.
I always miss you, remember you and talk to you a lot. After a long time, I met your mother while I was on my way to visit you. I comforter your mother so don't worry!
There are a lot of people saying they miss you so much. Just letting you know. I hope hyung also thinks about me sometimes and see you soon."
