Amid speculations NCT Taeyong is being treated as an outcast, NCTzens jumped to defend the idol from hateful comments.

On January 9, a trending post on the online forum Nate Pann drew the attention of fans especially Czennies after an OP wrote an article, titled, "Is NCT Taeyeong really an outcast?"

In the writings with over 52k views, the author shared screenshots of the idol confessing that the members "do not open up about their concerns" to him.

Following the viral post, the OP then wrote their take on this topic.

"So, even though he's the leader, no one tells Taeyong about their concerns. I'm worried about the subtitles, but it says the members barely say anything to Taeyong."

In the two photos attached, Taeyong could be seen saying the remark:

"I also want to listen to the members' concerns, but nobody is talking about it."

However, instead of sympathizing with him, NCT Taeyong was rather criticized for his remark, and the idol ended up receiving hate.

  • "Lee Taeyong is clueless as to why the members don't rely on him."
  • "I don't think I'll consult Taeyong about my concerns either. Just looking at his fraud records, I think, he'll betray me and use it against me as my secret weakness."
  • "Haha, who will want to rely on you."
  • "Even I would keep my distance from Taeyong, too."

In the comments section, the idol has been receiving unpleasant remarks, with people implying that the other members wouldn't want to rely on him due to his personality.

NCTzens Defend NCT Taeyong

When the issue blew up, Taeyong's fandom was quick to clarify the speculation that he was being treated like an outcast, as well as the claims that the members don't rely on him as their leader.

First, the fandom stood up for him against people leaving malicious comments about him, which was said to be the post's original intention.

Regarding his remark, the fans also clarified that he wasn't imposing about him being an outcast, but at the time, Taeyong was only sharing his difficulty in empathizing when someone would open up about concerns.

Since he was a T (Thinker) in MBTI, while some members like Jungwoo would be F (Feeler), he found it hard to sympathize with them very well.

In fact, he added:

"If I were the members, I wouldn't come to me to share my concerns either."

In the broadcast, Taeyong gave an example that he would often go for a direct and legit solution, instead of giving the members what they want to hear first.

The topic then ended with laughter with Jungwoo advising Taeyong on how to handle members with F in their MBTI.

In light of this, NCTzens called for netizens not to overanalyze the group's relationship due to Taeyong's remark and pointed out that the fandom knows that the idol is a reliable leader who is loved back by his co-members.
