During a recent fan call, Red Velvet Wendy showed her disapproval of fans sending protest trucks but her REASON will truly melt hearts.
On social media platforms including Twitter, the idol spoke about ReVeluvs (fans) expressing their concerns and complaints against SM Entertainment through protest trucks and mass-emailing.
While the aforementioned are both powerful methods that often work to urge immediate actions from companies, Wendy showed her strong disapproval of this, but her reason proves why she's a real-life angel.
ReVeluvs Send Protest Truck to SM to Call for Better Treatment of Red Velvet
ReVeluvs (Red Velvet fandom) have been sending protest trucks and mass-emailing SM Entertainment due to its alleged "poor treatment" of the group.
One of their major concerns was the lack of promotion and mismanagement, where the members were rarely promoted through official activities and exposure on television.
Fans called for the company to provide more opportunities for both the group and solo members to utilize and showcase their full potential as a team with all-rounder members.

While Red Velvet started as a top-tier 3rd-gen girl group, fans were saddened that they are "overshadowed" by BLACKPINK and TWICE, when the quintet debuted earlier than them.
In December, fans were even more infuriated when they found out that Wendy herself had to beg SM to give her more schedules and only succeeded until recently after being refused.
The anger of fans got stronger when speculations that Wendy's musical direction even after about 10 years was still being controlled by SM, only limiting her to singing ballads.
Red Velvet Wendy Asks Fandom to Stop Sending Protest Trucks: 'We've got some power too...'
On January 14 then, Red Velvet communicated with fans through a fan call and she immediately drew attention for addressing the protest trucks sent outside SM.
During a conversation with a fan, Wendy politely asked fans to reconsider the method of showing support and also attested them to trust the members regarding company matters.
“No more trucks and emails. We’ve been active for 10 years. We can handle it (by ourselves). We’ve got some power too.”
Wendy touched fans' hearts by thinking about the fandom's sake till the end, adding:
"Instead of spending money on protests, use that money to treat yourselves to some good food and drinks as well as clothes."
Following her remark, Wendy received mixed reactions. In particular, some were frustrated if SM was making Wendy tell such things.
On the other hand, a lot agreed with what Wendy said about trusting them regarding company matters without external interventions.
Some fandom outfit ReVeluv also joined the discussion and praised Wendy for being one of the first idols to show her opinions about protest trucks and made them realize rethinking new methods on how to send their fandom concerns.
Also, some voices implied that protest trucks which cost hefty money should be used as support LED trucks instead, which is directed towards the artist rather than the label.
