(G)I-DLE Soyeon Allegedly Expresses Disappointment At CUBE Entertainment — Here's Why

(G)I-DLE Soyeon Allegedly Disses Her Agency CUBE Entertainment

On January 19, midnight KST, CUBE Entertainment was supposed to release (G)I-DLE's audio snippet for their upcoming comeback.

However, just before its scheduled release time, a brief notice was uploaded to (G)I-DLE's official social media accounts. Their statement claimed that the scheduled audio snippet had to be delayed due to a work program error. They assured fans the audio snippet would be uploaded at 12:30 AM and asked fans who had been waiting for their generous understanding.

While many were peeved at the slight delay, Neverlands ((G)I-DLE's fanbase) was still willing to wait. However, once 12:30 AM. rolled around, people complained that the video was still not posted. At around 12:42 AM, another notice was uploaded, saying the video would be uploaded at noon instead.

Following the second announcement, Soyeon took to her Instagram story. Her post was short and simply read, "Ha..." The post mimics the sound of someone sighing. The post is speculated to be her reaction to how CUBE Entertainment was handling the situation.

Confusion further escalated when the audio snippet, which was initially scheduled to be released at 12 PM on January 19, was suddenly released at 1 AM. Subsequently, all notices regarding the delay were deleted from (G)I-DLE's social media accounts.

Many expressed their anger over how CUBE Entertainment handled the mishap. Neverlands slammed the agency for being irresponsible ahead of (G)I-DLE's comeback.

(G)I-DLE is scheduled to release their second full-length album, "2," on January 29, 2024.

On November 16, Soyeon released the collaboration single "NOBODY" with IVE's Liz and aespa's Winter.

On October 5, (G)I-DLE released their first all-English EP, "HEAT," with the lead single "I Want That." Prior to this, the girl group dropped the pre-release single "I DO" on July 13.
