Red Velvet Wendy's Voice Impresses THESE 2nd-Gen Idols: 'It felt like love at first sight'

In a music program, THESE 2nd-gen male idols can't help but praise Red Velvet Wendy after hearing her majestic vocals!

On February 9, the first episode of MBC's Lunar New Year pilot music program, "Song Stealer" featured the one-on-one match of Sunwoo JungA and Red Velvet Wendy.

As a brief context, the show's concept is allowing singers to openly steal other artists' songs that they like to perform. If they succeed, their name will be listed as the official singer of the other artist's song under the "Song Stealer" album and receive a gold badge.

It raised expectations as the "Stealer" would have to impress viewers with the song that they stole in front of the original artist themselves.

In the interview, both singers confessed that they are fans of each other, Wendy shocked viewers when she revealed that one of the reasons she decided to appear in the special music program was because of Sunwoo JungA.

When asked what song she didn't want to lose to other artists, Wendy then picked Red Velvet's "Red Flavor" and "Feel My Rhythm."

In the end, Sunwoo Jung Ah chose "Pyscho," explaining that the song's message resonates with her life the most.

As soon as she performed her own rendition of the Red Velvet's song, even the other contenders lauded her for her vocals that sounded narrating — it felt like they were watching a movie.

Wendy tried to defend the song with a new rendition of "Pyscho", but in the end, her rival won and the K-pop idol sincerely attached a golden badge to Sunwol JungA for successfully stealing the song.

Moving on, Wendy selected Sunwoo JungA's "Fine" as the song that she wants to steal, explaining:

"When I hear your voice, I think of a soloist. I'm a little bit not up to that level. I'm not a soloist yet, but I think I can deliver that level of emotion."

"I've never seen Wendy sing with all her heart before, but she was so good at it and she was so immersed in it. Wasn't she so good? I don't think it's right to say this, but... I feel like I fell in love at first sight."

Jeon Hyun Moo trembled lightly, saying:

"Lee Hong Gi, Wendy's article of 'Love at First Sight," and Lim Jung Hee also responded, "One came out," drawing laughter.
