TWICE Jihyo Reveals JYP Entertainment Kicked Out Trainees, Artists Who Did THIS

In a show, TWICE Jihyo revealed the strict rule of JYP Entertainment that trainees/artists should obey if they don't want to be kicked out.

On February 29, Jihyo, TWICE leader, appeared as a guest on the new web content uploaded by "Ssulply" official YouTube channel and hosted by SG Wannabe Lee Seok Hoon.

On this day, TWICE Jihyo recalled the past JYP Entertainment trainee rules and the ones that they shouldn't do to avoid being kicked out.

TWICE Jihyo Reveals Clubbing Is Prohibited in JYP Entertainment

In the program, the singer introduced a training manager who has been working under the rookie development headquarters for 12 years.

The employee then shared that there is a separate division for casting and training teams, comparing their work to a homeroom teacher. Jihyo then agreed and recalled the time she was scolded so much for not being able to maintain her weight.

While on this topic, Lee Seok Hoon also showed interest in the character education that JYP provides to ensure that their young trainees and artists will have well-natured personalities. In response, the person in charge said:

"There is no 'character education' in particular, so instead, we provide a lot of similar types of education, such as sex education where we invite instructors."

As an artist who was trained under JYP Entertainment for 10 years, Lee Seok Hoon turned to Jihyo to ask about the character education that she particularly experienced.

With this, she revealed the strict JYP rule that they should abide by for them not to be kicked out, answering:

"If a rumor reached the company that the person (trainee/artist) went to a bar, they would be immediately suspended. If they went to a club, then they would be (kicked) out. There were a few people like that."

She continued that even adults couldn't do this and added:

"Adults can't do it either. It was 10 years ago for me, and it was like that back then."

As the conversation went on, Jihyo also hinted that there were a lot of JYP trainees who were let go before by the company after the label's character education failed to fix their personalities.

In the end, Jihyo confirmed that many of them ended up leaving and debuted under a different label.

K-Netz Tilt Heads Against JYP Strict Rule

Following the broadcast, there were K-netizens who showed confusion about JYP Entertainment's strict rule revealed by TWICE Jihyo.

According to fans, adults drinking and going to the club shouldn't be a big deal, rather, they should educate them more about school violence and drunk driving.

K-Netz left comments such as:

  • "So apparently, bullying is okay?"
  • "This is funny, so is drinking worse than school violence?"
  • "So being a bully is allowed, but going to a bar is prohibited?"
