After working first in 2011, Girls' Generation Taeyeon revealed that THIS Korean singer is her ideal type. Who is he?

SNSD Taeyeon Couldn't Contain Excitement After Meeting 'Ideal Type' Kim Bum Soo

On March 2, Korea's best singers Kim Bum Soo and BTOB Seo Eun Kwang appeared on tvN's entertainment show, "Amazing Saturday - Do Re Mi Market," as its guests.

During the broadcast, main cast Taeyeon showed her excitement to meet Kim Bum Soo and congratulated him for his comeback.

To tease fans and viewers who have been waiting for a long time, the male icon then performed a snippet of his pre-release track, "The World of You."

With his majestic and serenading vocals, Taeyeon couldn't hide her fan sentiment and confessed:

"You're really my ideal type."

Hearing this, Kim Bum Soo hilariously responded:

"Everyone says I'm their ideal type, but no one tried to flirt with me. No one even asks for my phone number."

When Shin Dong Yup started teasing them, Taeyeon changed her stance and drew the line by saying:

"But so many fans really like him, right?"

Who Is Kim Bum Soo? More About SNSD Taeyeon's Ideal Type

In a recent broadcast in December last year, Taeyeon initially described his ideal type, saying:

"When I was younger, I was concerned more about looks. But now, I really don’t care about that. If I can hold a conversation with and learn from that person, then I tend to do my best for them."

He then emphasized that she wants someone sensible and mature.

Meanwhile, she named Kim Bum Soo her ideal type in the show, who was born in 1979. He debuted as a singer in 1999 and made his name both in Korea and in the US.

He first established his name in South Korea with his debut album, "A Promise" and just two years after in 2001, he made history by entering the Billboard Hot Singles Sales at No. 51 with his song, "Hello Goodbye Hello."

His "heyday" started completely in 2003, when his title track, "Miss You," from his 2002 album, "I Miss You" became the official soundtrack for the global hit drama, "Stairway to Heaven."

Since then, his popularity continuously skyrocketed and in 2011, he worked with SNSD Taeyeon for their song, "Different."

In 2013, they met again after Kim Bum Soo invited Taeyeon for a special appearance at his concert where they performed the male icon's song, "Man and Woman."

At the time, Taeyeon boasted a pair of earrings that she received from Kim and wrote:

"Kim Bum Soo-oppa gave me these. After being able to sing and then receive a present, I feel warm with happiness. I hope those who had a chance to listen to me sing were also filled with warmth. #KimBumSooConcert.”
