Virutal K-Pop Boy Group PLAVE Takes Home First Music Show Win
On March 6, 2024, the latest broadcast of MBC's "Show Champion" aired.
For this airing, there were several strong contenders for the first place trophy. Some of the artists who were up for the win included LE SSERAFIM for "EASY," BIBI for "Bam Yang Gang," CRAVITY for "Love or Die," and NCT's Taeyon for "TAP."

However, an underdog rose above these established artists and won the trophy.
Virtual boy group PLAVE took home the win this time with their song "WAY 4 LUV." The song was released on February 26, 2024, as the lead single of their second mini-album, "Asterum: 134-1."
This marks the first time an all-virtual K-pop group has won first place on a music show. With that, PLAVE has made history.
Congratulations, PLAVE!

Their avatars take inspiration from the art style most manhwa artists use for webtoons.
Their name, PLAVE, is a combination of the words "Play" and "Rêve," which is French for "Dream." PLAVE encapsulates the group's worldview of creating a new space to achieve their dreams.

Besides using avatars, there is not much difference in how PLAVE operates compared to other K-pop groups. The people behind the avatars are all talented singers, dancers, and composers. The group live streams twice a week on their YouTube channel to interact with fans, and they often sing live for their viewers.
They are one of the few virtual K-pop groups to hit the mainstream. With their first music show win, it is expected that PLAVE will hit big soon!
