Viral Plastic Surgeon Draws Backlash for Inappropriate Comments About Jang Wonyoung During IVE Concert

Popular plastic surgeon Dr. Lee, who is known as a "doc-fluencer" on TikTok, is drawing flak for his rude actions towards Jang Wonyoung during IVE's concert.

Dr. Lee (full name: Charles Sung-Chull Lee) is one of the most popular plastic surgeons on TikTok. One type of content that helped boost his popularity was pointing out possible plastic surgery procedures popular idols have done. He has critiqued several idols, including BTS and BLACKPINK members.

One idol that he has constantly mentioned is Jang Wonyoung of IVE. While this content has already rubbed DIVEs the wrong way, his recent actions at IVE's concert have sparked immense backlash.

Plastic Surgeon Jokes About IVE Jang Wonyoung Wanting Surgery

In a now-deleted video, Lee is seen attending an IVE concert wearing scrubs and a surgeon's hat. What drew backlash is his caption, which implies that after seeing him, Jang Wonyoung will seek plastic surgery.

Fans of the plastic surgeon initially hyped Dr. Lee in his comment section. Many joked that Jang Wonyoung definitely saw him in the crowd and that her eyes were screaming that she wanted a plastic surgery consultation. What worsened the situation was Lee agreeing with them and even joking that she wants "more" plastic surgery, insinuating that she has gone under the knife before.

However, reactions were wildly different after screenshots of his video went viral on X (formerly Twitter).

Plastic Surgeon Under Fire for Inappropriate Comments About Jang Wonyoung During IVE Concert

Many slammed the plastic surgeon for being in Jang Wonyoung's business, pointing out that a grown man picking on a 19-year-old girl and joking about her wanting more cosmetic surgery was inappropriate. It was also pointed out that his joke about her wanting plastic surgery preyed on her (and other people's) insecurities.

Others believed it was weird and off-putting for him to be so obsessed with Jang Wonyoung. The IVE member has been the focus of several of his videos for years now.

Many are urging Jang Wonyoung's label, Starship Entertainment, to take action against Dr. Lee. Previously, Jang Wonyoung filed a lawsuit against Korean tabloid channel, Sojang, for spreading false information against her

As of writing, Starship Entertainment has not released a statement on the matter.
