ADOR Denies Accusations In Official Statement Regarding NewJeans' Taiwan Filming Controversy

Earlier on March 30, numerous photos of NewJeans filming in Taipei were leaked across online communities. The photos eventually sparked a controversy, when an alleged staff made buzz by telling off netizens to avoid posting the photos since the venture was a secret.

"I'm sorry. Since this is a non-public schedule, please do not post pictures, repost, or even your own words about it," the alleged staff stated. "The staff members worked hard to block people and close off the roads."

It continued, "While everyone's looking forward to the project, please give us space to work. Please assist us, as posting about this will impact the schedule, so please don't do it. Thank you."

The message immediately caught the attention of dedicated fans, who took consideration of the concern. Unfortunately, some netizens were distraught with some of the staff, who according to netters, had allegedly scolded the citizens near the vicinity and checked their phones.

Following this, ADOR finally broke silence on the issue, as the agency released an official statement on April 2. Korean news outlets reported that ADOR had claimed that the accusations made towards the agency were false.

ADOR then shared how the company was permitted by the Taipei City Hall and police officials. The agency also revealed how the individuals who have taken photos of the site cooperate and that no commotion happened during the incident.

Read the full statement below:

"The information that is currently spreading online is not true. We, ADOR, were granted permission from Taiwan's city hall and police for filming, and we have recorded within the scope of the filming authorization.

During that time, the staff present on-site were holding signs asking them not to take pictures. However, some people took photos in the restricted area. In that case, we politely requested the photos to be deleted immediately.

There was no shouting or disrespect at the site since everyone responded cooperatively."
