Amid anticipation for TWICE Jeongyeon's solo debut, the idol finally spoke out on claims that she's going to release "Yoolo."
Since October last year, there have been rumors circulating in the music scene that Jeongyeon would be the third TWICE member to have a solo album, following Nayeon and Jihyo.
Finally, the singer addressed the speculations.
TWICE Jeongyeon Comments on Solo Debut Claims
As TWICE is currently fulfilling members' solo and sub-unit projects on top of their group schedules, there is high anticipation of who would debut next as a soloist, after the success of Nayeon and Jihyo's solos.
Among the candidates, ONCEs (TWICE fandom) think Jeongyeon seems to be the best candidate to have her solo release, highlighting the idol's impressive vocals and dance line.
It's no secret as well that she's often underappreciated due to the limited opportunities for her to showcase her skills.

In March, the speculations rose anew after Jeongyeon hinted that she wrote a song called "Play Me" during their concert. At the time, she gave hope by saying that she would release it for later.
Weeks passed but there is still no update regarding the album; thus, ONCEs took to Bubble to convey their requests for Jeongyeon to release her solo.
When the idol noticed the surge of pleas she was getting, Jeongyeon decided to discuss the matter once and for all.
"I'm not working on my solo, so stop!"
She went on:
"There's a lot of ONCEs saying I might not because of high resistance. (But) I don't want to be a soloist and I'm not planning to be one forever so stop looking forward to it."
Upon these messages, ONCEs' hearts were crushed that they wouldn't be able to have the "Yoolo" that they had been waiting for since last year.
With this, Jeongyeon gave them a little light of hope that she's still considering doing it in the future.
"Is saying for the rest of my life a bit much? I might do it one day, so let's set it straight. In 1 year? Ask me again in 1 year."

this fandom terrorizing jeongyeon with solo requests when she says again and again that it's not now and she's not ready. but they ignored solo jihyo and many group releases that came out not so long ago. FUCK better go and make at least one stream for the last comeback!! https://t.co/sDznHsDPzW
