Singer Lee Ji Hye recently shared candid details about her history with plastic surgery, revealing that while she had undergone procedures in the past, she no longer opts for them.
On April 4, Lee Ji Hye updated her YouTube channel "Gwanjong Un-ni" with a new video, where she addressed personal topics and responded to negative comments.
Reflecting on Negative Comments
In the video, Lee Ji Hye started by discussing her approach to handling criticism. She explained,
"I turned on the camera with a calm mindset. I'm someone who typically checks comments. Instead of dwelling on 'Why are there so many hate comments,' I choose to reflect, accept and work on improving."
During the video, Lee Ji Hye encountered a comment about her appearance, alleging that she had undergone plastic surgery and had fillers injected into her face. In response, she admitted,
"I'm not going to lie, I've had plastic surgery when I was young. But I haven't done any recently. I'm actually aware that I look unnatural. I can see it too."
Embracing Feedback
Despite the critical nature of some comments, Lee Ji Hye took a positive stance, stating,
"Well, but you know what? I don't consider this as a hate comment. I can't fix how I look now anyway; it's kind of too late. It's not like I can go back to the past."
Towards the end of the video, Lee Ji Hye shared insights into how she handles feedback. She mentioned,
"There are many celebrities who don't read hate comments, but I'm the type who does. I even think like, 'Okay, they could say that.' I'm pretty cool about them."
However, she also noted the emotional impact such comments can have on those around her.
In recent news, Lee Ji Hye, a member of the 90s co-ed group S#arp, recently shared a group picture on Twitter, indicating a reunion of the band.
The photo featured Lee Ji Hye, Seo Ji Young, and Jang Suk Hyun smiling at the camera while video chatting with Chris, another member of the group.
S#arp, which debuted in 1998, disbanded in 2002 due to conflicts between Lee Ji Hye and Seo Ji Young. Internet users reacted positively to the reunion, expressing nostalgia and suggesting the possibility of a new album.
