Idol Begs SM to Let Him Have World Tour Even WITHOUT Pay: 'I Can't Do This Alone'

SM Entertainment faced backlash after THIS idol confessed that he begged the label to give him the opportunity to meet global fans, even without payment!

Super Junior Sungmin Hints at Lack of Opportunity, Support from SM to Meet Fans

On April 20, Super Junior Sungmin was comforted by K-pop stans and ELFs (fandom) when he revealed that he yearns for an opportunity to meet his supporters all around the world.

The idol shared that he even pitched the idea to SM, and in exchange for agreeing to it, the idol was okay with not getting paid, then asking fans to help him connect with concert organizers as well.

Sungmin, who is currently on a hiatus, revealed his current situation making K-pop fans and ELFs heartbroken. The idol recently held a live broadcast on his YouTube channel, where he opened up about the slim chance of having a world tour as a solo artist.

The discussion started when fans asked him to have a world tour and here, he showed a strong desire to do it as well.

Unfortunately, he hinted at the lack of opportunities given to him, then candidly asking a favor to fans to help him connect with event organizers.

"I will perform without pay. Just give me a chance. I don't need a pay. Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Vietnam, USA, South America, or anywhere I can perform without pay, so just give me a chance." [translation from @/Nilaksha Rathnasekera]

When fans disagreed and told him that he shouldn't perform without pay, Sungmin then said that he would be okay with having 5 free meals that cost $7 each during the event.

Currently signed under SM Entertainment, Sungmin revealed that he tried to ask the label for such an opportunity and emphasized that he could do it without getting paid.

"Just give me a chance to meet my fans. Something like a fan event, as I cannot do it by myself."

ELFs Heartbroken At Sungmin's Revelation + Slammed SM for Mistreatment

Despite being a Super Junior member, Sungmin hasn't been able to promote with the group. This stemmed from when he got married abruptly with Kim Saeun in 2014.

Korean ELFs turned their backs on him, which led him to take a break from the group and continue as a solo artist.

It has been a decade, yet ELFs still hope that he will return in Super Junior, given how he also renewed his contract with the label.

But fans say that this is how he would be treated, it will be also nice for him to find another label that will provide him his well-deserved treatment.

This became heartbreaking even more since Super Junior has been doing countless world tours, whilst Sungmin is practically begging to meet his fans as well, even giving up his payment.
