KARA Jiyoung Calls Out Police Officer's Misconduct With Elderly Woman

On April 23, Jiyoung uploaded a post on her official Instagram account, which recounted her upsetting experience at the police station. The idol shared that she went to the station to renew her documents.

Read the idol's story below:

"Hello. I've been posting photos of me spending my daily life, and even the small things that happen to me every day. I'm writing this because I'm going to bring up a not-so-small but somewhat heavy story.
Today, I had to stop by the police station to fix my license. These days, we all know that this is an era where you can search everything up efficiently. I looked up what I needed in advance on my phone and prepared diligently, before heading to the station.
When I went in, I took a number and waited. There was some paperwork I had to fill out first on the spot, so after filling it out, I took a number again. Although I'm the kind of person who always gets angry, fortunately, I was able to submit the documents and proceed without any issues.
But then suddenly, I saw an elderly woman coming to the register at the window right next to me. It was right next to me, so she was near me at the window. I naturally listened to their conversation, and it turned out that she was also there to renew her license.
Yes, come to think of it, my parents also need to renew their licenses too."

Unfortunately, according to the idol, she had witnessed a police officer's rude behavior towards the elderly.

"However, among the questions she received, was one regarding the medical check-ups needed and whether her vision was over 0.8. She said her vision didn't surpass 0.8. The police officer then bluntly replied that she's unable to renew today and that she should get glasses immediately.
What made me so upset here was that what if the elderly woman right next to me was my mother? The person who guided her was so unfriendly.
I thought my heart would break if I saw that happen to my mother, if she didn't know what to do. You might think it's no big deal.
However, nowadays, with the rapid development of kiosks, numerous applications, etc. it's difficult for some people to keep up with it."

Jiyoung then concluded:

"I was so angry that I cried, and my hands were shaking on the way home. Adults are more comfortable with large fonts.

I wish they would make a manual at least. Some people may not know how to search on the Internet or on their phones. They might find it difficult. (You can tell me off when I talk like this, but I'm glad to help in creating references)."
