It is not uncommon for idols to give their fans gifts. Oftentimes, idols will prepare special gifts for fans and hand them out during events to show how grateful they are for their support. They will also give food, drinks, and other handmade items.

However, Yuqi stands out with her expensive gift!

On May 6, 2024, a post titled "Yuqi who gave out 11 million won worth of Hai Di Lao tribute to fans" was shared with the well-known South Korean online community forum Nate Pann.

In the post, the original poster (OP) noted that during Yuqi's last day of promotions for her Korean solo debut, she gave every fan a present of 100,000 KRW worth of Hai Di Lao gift to fans!

There were 110 people present during the recording, meaning the idol spent a whopping 11 million KRW in Hai Di Lao gift cards. In US dollars, the (G)I-DLE member spent approximately $8,096.

Fans of the idol revealed that during the fan sign, Yuqi joked that she would bring the fans to Hai Di Lao, a popular hot pot chain, as a joke. However, it appears she kept to her word and treated fans to some free hotpot with the gift cards!

It was also noted by fans that Yuqi has dreamt of sharing a meal with Neverlands, (G)I-DLE's fan base, but since she couldn't, she opted to give out Hai Di Lao gift cards instead. The OP claimed this shows how much she loves her fans. This is notably not the only gift Yuqi gave fans during her solo promotions.

She also gave fans a "YUQ1" embroidered rabbit doll, which comes with an identification card. The bunny is Yuqi's favorite plushie, and she bought 250 toys from the brand Jellycat to give out to fans. The rabbit is named Gigi.

She also gave the fans sandwiches, iced coffee, and lip tints.

Korean netizens who saw the post noted how nice the idol is, and how it properly shows how genuine the (G)I-DLE member is. Others noted how female idols never fail to splurge just to show fans how much they appreciate their support, while male idols do not have such stories.
