Kazuha's reaction to a fan calling her Bae Suzy is currently being discussed by netizens. This also led to a discussion surrounding the fan's overall intention.
In the K-pop community, fans have continuously resembled Kazuha to icon Bae Suzy due to their similarities in visuals. The buzz was flamed further when Kazuha slayed a dance cover of miss A's legendary debut song "Bad Girl Good Girl" during LE SSERAFIM's "FEARNADA" event.
On May 12, netizens gathered in an online thread titled, "Fans Asks Kazuha If She's Suzy at LE SSERAFIM's Fanmeeting." The author uploaded a screenshot and a tweet allegedly showing a fan referring to Kazuha as Suzy in the group's fanmeeting. Read the translation below:
Fan: "Wait, what? Oh, I think I arrived at the wrong fan sign event."
Kazuha: "What? What do you mean?"
Fan: "Aren't you Suzy?"
Kazuha: "Oh, no. No, please don't say that."
In the comments, netizens were divided with their reactions to the clip. Some found the fan's remark as a harmless compliment and claimed it was nice seeing Kazuha be compared to a well-loved icon. Some also called out netizens who just wanted to throw hate on Kazuha.
- "This is a common compliment, isn't it? Those people who will hate will do anything to get far at this point."
- "Fans do this all the time."
- "This is nothing though, so stop hating already."
- "This was really an adorable approach to say someone that they're cute or pretty. I don't see anything wrong with this."
Others argued, saying how rude it was for the fan to refer to Kazuha as Suzy. Here's how they reacted:
- "Does a true fan behave like this? Wasn't the comment rude for Kazuha?"
- "If it's always going to be like this, then why don't you might as well stan Suzy instead?"
- "Is HYBE having difficulties promoting their idols without dragging other celebrities? They need to stop associating."
- "I don't understand how that's a compliment, Kazuha is being compared by a fan to another celebrity in front of her."
