Karina is currently breaking the internet for performing her trend online!
On November 10, 2023, aespa officially released their fourth mini album "Drama" and its title track of the same name. MYs were hyped with the group's dark and confident discography, alongside their captivating choreography, styling, and visuals.
During the promotions, aespa's choreography for "Drama" eventually took over social media, especially in TikTok, where fans and netizens uploaded various clips that showed them dancing to K-pop's best instrumental.
The dance trend gradually took over the platform, as fans also caught wind and admired Karina's part during the song's chorus where the idol performed a "bounce" dance. The "bounce" ultimately went viral on social media as fans uploaded their own takes.
Finally, the trend eventually reached Karina herself, and fans were more than happy to see the idol to take part on her own viral trend. On May 6, aespa uploaded a dance clip featuring leader Karina slaying the bounce dance trend for "Drama."
"Yes! She's the only one who can make it so smooth."
"No way she did it! Slay!"
"She did the trend, finally!"
"Queen joined her trend!"
"It hits different when Karina herself does it."
"She made it look so simple and easy."
"Look at the caption. She knows, alright."

The music video also sparked a forum online on May 14, when netizens praised the quartet for not following the "easy-listening" trend in K-pop and going out of their comfort zone when it came to musical direction.
Netizens also expressed how commendable the production was since the song brought back K-pop's unique aura and diverse feel.
"It's been diluted in K-pop these days," OP shared. "But K-pop's original assets were diversity and the group's unique aura."
