The idol will be unable to participate in ONE PACT's upcoming comeback.

On May 16, ONE PACT's agency ARMADA ENT released an official statement announcing Jay Chang's absence from the group's forthcoming promotions and activities.

According to the statement, the agency first expressed its gratitude to fans who are eager for ONE PACT's music release. However, the participation of Jay has been raised in the announcement.

The agency shared that Jay ranked first place in the program "Build Up," Mnet's survival show that aimed to form the newest vocal group. The show also included star-studded judges such as Red Velvet Wendy, MAMAMOO Solar, BTOB Eunkwang, and many others.

ARMADA ENT shared that due to Jay winning a spot on the lineup, the idol is set to focus his activities under a separate agency, thus, leading him to be absent on ONE PACT's upcoming album promotions. The agency also expressed support for the idol.

The statement included that this opportunity is important for Jay, as he will tackle a new endeavor inside the Korean music industry while developing his growth as an artist. ONE PACT has also respected Jay's decision and supported his activities.
