HYBE Addresses Reports Surrounding ADOR's Management Changes — Here's What The Company Said

HYBE broke its silence on the circulating reports about ADOR's management changes.

On May 23, Korean news outlets reported that HYBE had selected potential candidates to replace Min Hee Jin and other executive board directors of ADOR. However, the claims eventually reached HYBE, which released a response on the matter.

According to HYBE's statement, the company shared that a registered CEO for ADOR has not yet been established. It also clarified that no label could take over the production for NewJeans and that the details for the directorial roles, tasks, and re-organizations will be announced once finalized.

Read the agency's full statement below:

"We are writing this to provide a clear explanation about the reports regarding the management changes in ADOR. We would like to inform you that the documented CEO of ADOR has not yet been finalized and it's not true that another label could handle the production (for its artists).

We would also like to let you know that we are planning to disclose the roles and scopes of the three director candidates, with the stabilization of the organization and measures on support as soon as they are finally decided."

On the initial reports made on May 23, K-media shared that HYBE has been considering Lee Jae Sang, its Chief Security Officer (CSO), to take over Min Hee Jin's role as CEO of ADOR.

The reports also included other HYBE officials such as Kim Joo Young, the company's Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), and Lee Kyung Joon, its Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Moreover, there were also reports of potential HYBE labels being set to handle NewJeans temporarily should a big fraction of employees from ADOR resign due to the changes in management.

In other news, HYBE responded to the letter sent by the parents of the NewJeans members on May 13. Korean news outlet Ilgan Sports disclosed an email from Min Hee Jin, which contained the parents' sentiments against HYBE and BELIFT LAB.

According to sources, Min Hee Jin received the email on March 31. The statement threaded on various subjects such as the similarities between ILLIT and NewJeans, HYBE founder Bang Si Hyuk's treatment of NewJeans, and more.

This led HYBE to release its own statement regarding the matter. The agency shared that it replied on April 16 to deny the plagiarism allegations between the two girl groups. It also disagreed with the claims of neglect and the allegations of Bang Si Hyuk ignoring NewJeans.

"We find it very regrettable that Min Jee Jin is dragging artists and their families into this fight for her own greed," HYBE shared.

The agency also revealed that credible evidence has been collected regarding Min Hee Jin's attempted takeover of HYBE, instigating the parents to raise concerns and that the lengthy email was personally written by Min Hee Jin and Vice CEO "L."
