Bunnies were worried seeing the idol in her current state.

Netizens gathered in an online community Instiz to discuss the status of NewJeans' youngest member Hyein, who is currently on a hiatus due to foot injury.

On the forum, the author uploaded a photo, showing Hyein in public. However, the idol was also seen with crutches on for support, breaking the hearts of Bunnies.

Earlier on May 8, ADOR officially announced that Hyein would be extending her hiatus. The statement declared that Hyein had visited the hospital due to feeling pain in the foot and that a microfracture had been found.

Ever since her extended hiatus, Hyein has been focusing on her recovery. The decision was made according to the advice of medical professionals and consequently, this led to Hyein's absence in NewJeans' 'How Sweet' promotions.

"In April, Hyein experienced pain in the top of her foot during practice," ADOR shared. "She went through an examination, which showed that a microfracture in her foot was discovered."

The agency continued, "Hyein would be focusing on her treatment and recovery. Doctors have advised her to minimize any movement that may inflict unwanted strain on the area."
