Fans were both poking fun and expressing their worries on the matter.
On May 29, ATEEZ San appeared as a special guest on the KODE YouTube channel's "SELF-ON KODE," which also featured ZEROBASEONE Kim Gyuvin.
During the episode, the two idols engaged in fun exchanges, which showcased the two's goofy sides, and Gyuvin's adored reputation as a San-biased and ATINY president. However, at the video's 3:43 mark, they were asked to share the home screen of their phones.
Gyuvin sent his own screenshot first and San had noticed that the ZEROBASEONE member had acquired the Korean Air application, which he considered a hint to guess the person he was chatting with.
After San had sent the screenshot of his phone's home screen, Gyuvin seemingly noticed the moon background on the idol's phone, "I think there are two types of people who make the moon as their wallpaper, you either just got your phone so it's your default display or they're slightly older."
However, on social media platform X (Twitter), ATINYs expressed a different take on San's home screen. According to posts online, eagle-eyed fans pointed out that San had a total of 1,423 unread messages on his phone.
On the other hand, fans have expressed concerns for the idol amid the chaotic and lighthearted context.
ATINYs voiced out that while it's amusing to see how relatable San due to the overwhelming number of messages in his inbox, they mentioned that these messages could possibly be from haters or obsessive stalkers (sasaengs).
need people to realize idols having 1k-50k unread messages on imessage is usually them not opening spam and messages from harrassers, not leaving people they know on seen, that's what kakaotalk is for https://t.co/PVMWkvyHrU
Everyone joking about the number of messages but they’re probably all from stalkers and crazy fans cause their numbers get leaked all the time… https://t.co/Agt2jeNzfV
In other news, ATEEZ appeared on the "Cultwo Show" on January 5, 2023. In the radio session, San had fans laughing when he clarified a photo of him making a peace sign with a black glove that only covered the thumb and index fingers.
This caused the photo to unintentionally show San giving the middle finger, causing laughter across the K-pop community. Read more about the story here!
