ITZY member Ryujin proved she's total BFFs with aespa member Karina!

On June 6, 2024, a post titled "Karina giving out aespa's goods to Ryujin" was uploaded to Nate Pann, a popular South Korean online community forum.

In the post, the original poster shared a screenshot from Ryujin's Bubble chat. The ITZY member shared a photo of several banners made in support of aespa's "Armageddon" comeback. In her chat, she revealed that Karina had given it to her and that the aespa member loves gifting her goods as gifts.

Ryujin then joked that she probably has more goods than MYs (aespa's fanbase). The two have been close friends for years now. Back in 2022, Ryujin even entertained questions from fans asking if the two were dating.

While she never stated whether they are or aren't dating, she confessed that she calls Karina "honey." Ryujin only calls two people that nickname: fellow ITZY member Chaeryeong and aespa's Karina. She also calls Karina by her birth name, Jimin.

Ryujin revealed in that same livestream that she and Karina made snow bears and snow ducks together during the winter.

The two have supposedly been friends since 2021, after ITZY gifted aespa watermelon juice during the 2021 Dream Concert. In December 2021, aespa gifted ITZY tangerines and sweets during the 2021 KBS Gayo Daechukje.

Korean netizens who saw the post couldn't help but fawn over their adorable friendship. They noted that the fourth-generation of K-pop seems close to one another, and commented that they love the bond between ITZY and aespa. Many stated they are a big fans of both girl groups.
