ReVeluvs claim Red Velvet's debut was legendary for THIS reason!
On June 6, netizens established a forum, titled, "The Reason Why Red Velvet Created So Much Buzz In Their Debut."
For further context, Red Velvet made their debut on August 1, 2014, when the quintet was originally a four-membered group. On March 11, 2015, Yeri, the group's youngest, joined the group as the fifth member.
In the post, the author included a few photos from Red Velvet's "Happiness" era, when the group was a four-membered act consisting of Irene, Seulgi, Wendy, and Joy. OP then followed that the reason the group made so much buzz was because of their stunning visuals.
With Red Velvet making their 10th anniversary this 2024, the comments section was filled with nostalgic fans. According to the post, fans recalled the experiences they had when they first heard or saw the members. Read their comments below:

Meanwhile, international fans had a different memory on Red Velvet's "Happiness" era. Though many of them agreed with how gorgeous the members looked, they also recalled Red Velvet's struggles during their debut and the negativity they faced from the public.
"They never got appreciation for how they looked at debut, they came out when SM was in turmoil."
