In a recent baseball match, aespa Karina became the talk of the town after flaunting her goddess-like visuals and skills while throwing the first pitch.
On June 9, Karina graced the opening of the 2024 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League's doubleheader game 2 between SSG Landers and Lotte Giants.
The match was held at Sajik Stadium in Busan, and the venue was filled with baseball fans to witness the first pitch of the K-pop star alone since her debut.
However, the much-awaited moment almost failed after Karina's conflicting schedule was revealed.
Supposedly, the match was scheduled on the 8th but was canceled due to the rain, leading it to be moved to the 9th at 2 p.m.
However, Karina had two fan signing events on that day including one in Busan scheduled at 1 p.m. and the other one in Daegu at 8 p.m.
If the first game in the doubleheader finished later than expected, Karina would have to cancel her appearance as she still had to travel from Busan to Daegu.
But Karina was admired for her professionalism after appearing at around 5 p.m. at the match, and fortunately, her first pitch was a success.
On this day, Karina stole the attention of baseball enthusiasts with her goddess-like appearance, wearing a Lotte Giants uniform and denim pants with her long, wavy hair flowing at her back. Her perfect body ratio also earned admiration.
As she stepped inside the field, Karina received a cheerful greeting as she said:
"I came after practicing! I can do it! This is my first pitch and I am honored to throw this first pitch for the Lotte Giants at Sajik Stadium. I will throw the ball hard to support the Lotte Giants. Also, please show a lot of love to our aespa, too."
When she threw her first pitch, Karina not only surprised everyone with her natural and perfect form but she was lauded after being able to hit the strike zone, which is rare for female idols.
After the game, Karina immediately left the venue to travel to Daegu, and she was also able to complete the fan signing without any problem.
After learning about this, the "Supernova" singer received rave reviews for her professional attitude as she still attended the baseball match despite her conflicting schedule after the game was initially canceled.
She was also praised for taking the first pitch seriously after revealing that she practiced for it, despite her busy activities to promote their first studio album, "Armageddon," comprising double title tracks with the same name and "Supernova."
To maximize its promotion, aespa will also hold its second solo concert, "2024 aespa LIVE TOUR - SYNK: PARALLEL LINE -" at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul on June 29-30 and meet MYs, its fandom.
