While a lot of K-pop fans didn't know that his group even existed, THIS male idol suddenly attracted massive interest after his photos showing his jaw-dropping visuals went viral.
On June 9, various fandoms flocked over a "nugu" male idol after his photos spread on the social media platform, X.
"Nugu" is a Korean term that means "Who?" and was borrowed by international K-pop enthusiasts to refer to idols who are "unknown" and "unpopular" but are yet to be discovered by mainstream fans.
The main character of the post is Junho, the youngest member of the rookie boy group, NOMAD.
In the photos posted through NOMAD's official X account, Junho flaunted his perfect summer bod wearing swimming shorts and an unclosed hoodie jacket.
He particularly captured the hearts of those who saw his photos with his dual charm, boasting his solid abs with his cute, puppy-like facial features.
When his selfies reached K-pop supporters outside NOMAD's fandom, a lot of fans were overwhelmed by his outstanding beauty, the post's engagement reached about 400k views and is continuously increasing, as of writing.
Internet users were confused that such a rare gem with an impeccable "face card" had been hiding in a "nugu" group and were claiming that they would start to support the group now, thanks to Junho.
Here are some of the funny reactions to Junho's "face card" and abs exposure photos:
Meanwhile, to those who are not familiar with the male idol, Jeong Junho was born in 2002 and is now 21 years old. Although he's still young, he has always drawn attention for his tall height, 6 ft. and 1 in. (185cm)
Prior to his debut in NOMAD, he used to be a trainee under SM Entertainment and could potentially be a RIIZE or NCT Wish member.
However, he left around in 2020 and transferred to IST Entertainment, where he was sent to join the survival show, "The Origin - A, B or What?"
At the time, he didn't only showcase his good looks but his talent in singing and dancing as well. Unfortunately, he was eliminated in the eighth episode, failing to debut as ATBO.
In 2022, he left IST and vanished from the music scene for a year until in 2023, the new label NOMAD Entertainment was established, where Junho was introduced as one of the members of its first boy group.
NOMAD officially debuted on February 28 with a self-titled EP and has since then promoted as a five-member boy group.
