Following initial reports that BLACKPINK Rosé will join producer Teddy's THEBLACKLABEL, the agency briefly released a statement about it.
On June 17, an exclusive report from Newsen claimed that the global superstar Rosé finally found her new home after leaving YG Entertainment, which turned out to be Teddy's company, THEBLACKLABEL.
Upon the news, media outlets immediately contacted the label and they only briefly responded, saying:
"The contract is currently in discussion."
With this, it can be inferred that it is true that Rosé is considering this option, and if the conditions are met for both parties, Rosé will become labelmates with Jeon Somi, Park Bogum, Taeyang, Zion.T, Loren and more.
There is also a huge curiosity if the female star will sign a contract as a singer, or if she will also enter the world of acting and variety shows.
In the meantime, this move of Rosé is gaining attention among K-pop fans especially BLINKs since this is completely a different move compared to her other co-BLACKPINK members Jisoo, Jennie and Lisa, whose after leaving YG decided to establish their respective one-man agencies.

Jennie created Odd Atelier (OA) in December 2023, while Lisa launched LLOUD in February of this year. She's been actively meeting personalities in the U.S., hinting at a global expansion of her music and acting career beyond Asia.
Jisoo also moved to her new nest BLISSOO, where she established with her biological older brother to continue her music and acting career.
The big question now is:
"Will BLACKPINK member Rosé fall into the arms of producer Teddy?"
In online communities and social media networks, there are high expectations that the "Gone" singer will hold hands with Teddy due to the mutual trust that they have been maintaining for 10 years.
Some of the comments are:
- "I hope she releases an album quickly."
- "BLACKPINK songs all come from Teddy's hands, and it seems to be going well."
- "I think they will get along well."
- "Whatever it is, I just want her to release an album quickly."
Before Teddy created THEBLACKLABEL, the two had been actively interacting musically under YG Entertainment, as the current CEO used to produce the majority of BLACKPINK hit tracks including, "Whistle" & "BOOMBAYAH."
In a documentary starring the quartet released by Netflix in 2020, Rosé showed his affection to their producer saying:
"He is a producer who listens to our stories, catches new directions, and always guides us in a good direction. In our hearts, he is the fifth BLACKPINK member."
After the news of the members leaving YG Entertainment, Rosé continuously worked with Teddy and even sang the demo signal song for "I-Land 2," a program aiming to find the members of THEBLACKLABEL's new girl group.
