Following the release of aespa's "Live My Life" MV, TXT fans expressed their anger at SM Entertainment for allegedly copying the group. With this, MYs immediately defended the group.
Earlier on June 19, aespa made a surprise gift to fans as the quartet dropped the official music video for "Live My Life," a b-sidetrack included in its first-ever studio album, "Armageddon" initially released on May 27.
This is said to be an MV created in partnership with KB Kookmin Bank to endorse their mobile app Liiv.
As of the writing, the MV reached 1 million views, which drew attention to the video's theme of living life on their own terms.
While MYs are conveying their delight as they receive other content from the group, MOAs, TXT's fans suddenly broke this happiness when they accused the girl group of plagiarizing TXT.
In a thread posted by various MOAs, they pointed out similarities between "Live My Life" MV and TXT's various music videos' concepts.

From the theme, outfits, setup & background as well as how the scenes were filmed, MOAs insisted that there is no way that the similarities were only coincidence.
The fandom then clarified that they have nothing against aespa, but they were angry at SM Entertainment for expecting that they could get away from disrespecting and not properly crediting TXT's works.
Amid this accusation, MYs (aespa fandom) then jumped to defend the quartet, stating that the MV was filmed last year, thus, it is impossible for them to copy a TXT album that was just released in April this year.
MYs also highlighted that the proofs provided by MOA to support their plagiarism claims were invalid since these are only screenshots from MVs and the scenes were "too generic" to be copied.
On the other hand, aespa continues its "double hit" as the double title tracks, "Armageddon" and "Supernova" are still leading multiple domestic music charts.
The album is also a hot release in the global scene, with "Armageddon" becoming a popular TikTok dance challenge.
With this success, they are aiming to further expand its popularity by holding its second world tour, "the 2024 aespa LIVE TOUR ? SYNK: PARALLEL LINE?' starting in Korea. The event will take place at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in Seoul on June 29-30.
On July 3, aespa will also release their Japanese debut single "Hot Mess" and continue their active activities.
