This "underrated" 4th-gen idol suddenly saw a surge in her popularity and sat atop Rankify's Trend Index – beating NewJeans members!
What contributed to her sudden fame?
On June 27, Rankify announced the latest rankings for the girl group individual trend index for the 4th week of June(June 17 to 23) — hailing cignature Jeewon No. 1!
The rankings are one of the indicators to determine an idol's popularity, providing K-pop fandoms with real-time search volumes through trend analysis based on big data (Google Trend Index and Naver search volumes).
It then identifies public interest in two major trends by comparing interest by gender and age.
For the 4th week of June, Jeewon climbed from being outside the top 10 to 7th place last week until she reached first place in the latest rankings.
She was able to beat NewJeans Hanni after garnering 7,804 points, winning by 1,358 points against the latter idol who only earned 6,446 points.

Debuting as cignature's center and lead vocalist in 2020, Jeewon also attracted love due to her bright and cheerful appearance, especially her beautiful and contagious smile that led her to be invited in a lot of variety shows.
The controversy also led more K-pop stans to check on cignature, Jeewon's group who just drooped its fifth EP, "Sweetie but Saltie," on June 10.
It is their first comeback in about 11 months and despite some issues regarding its MV, the group's -sidetrack, "I like I like," is becoming a rising trend on short-form platforms including TikTok, Jeewon contributing it to be more talked about.
With all of this good karma despite initial problems, expectations are growing for Jeewon, who is driving the buzz with her cignature comeback activities, and what she will do in the future.
