JYP Entertainment Draws Backlash For Forgetting TWICE Tzuyu In Promotional Material

ONCEs are furious at JYP Entertainment after they seemingly forgot TWICE's Tzuyu in promotional material.

TWICE is scheduled to release their first mini-album, "DIVE," on July 17, 2024. To promote the upcoming Japanese comeback, JYP Entertainment has been sharing promotional material online, including hinting at what fans can receive if they purchase the album.

In a now-deleted post, JYP Entertainment gave fans a preview of the different covers they can purchase. With nine versions, each cover is meant to feature one member. However, fans were quick to notice that Tzuyu was not included in this section; instead, Mina was shown twice.

This immediately sparked outrage from fans, who accused the ones editing the graphic of intentionally erasing Tzuyu from the material. As this is not the first time fans felt Tzuyu was mistreated and excluded during TWICE's promotions, fans are understandably upset at the situation.

JYP Entertainment has not responded to the situation. The post can also no longer be found on their social media, and all subsequent posts feature all nine members of TWICE.

Tzuyu's mistreatment has been a topic amongst ONCEs for years. Many believe that she has been neglected by the company, as she is one of the members with the least amount of solo activities. She has never had a solo magazine cover, nor is she an ambassador for any designer brand. Tzuyu is one of the members with the least amount of lines in TWICE's discography.

This mistreatment has been highlighted by Matilda Tao, a veteran Taiwanese celebrity and close friend of Tzuyu's mother. She also pointed out that Tzuyu has one of the most followers on Instagram among TWICE members, and yet her popularity is not being utilized.
