aespa Winter & LE SSERAFIM Yunjin Reportedly Spotted on 'Dinner Date' in Japan
Fans are speculating that aespa's Winter and LE SSERAFIM's Huh Yunjin met up for a dinner date in Japan.
On July 7, 2024, Huh Yunjin shared several photos from one of her days in Japan. Currently, LE SSERAFIM are in Japan for their "FEARNADA" tour. One photo she shared reportedly reveals that she had met up with aespa's Winter for a dinner date.
What gave it away? In a photo that showcases Yunjin's plate and the plate of the person across from her, part of an iPhone case can be seen. This is the same iPhone case Winter had in one of her Instagram posts, where she is seen taking a mirror selfie!
Currently, aespa is in Japan to promote their Japanese debut, "Hot Mess." For long-time fans of either LE SSERAFIM or aespa, it is common knowledge that Winter and Yunjin are friends. In March 2023, Winter revealed during a fan sign that Yunjin used to be a trainee at SM Entertainment. During her time as a trainee there, Yunjin dormed with Winter and Ningning!

Ningning later confirmed the news, revealing that she, Winter, and Yunjin ate together at "Inkigayo" and reminisced about their past as trainees together.

In November of that year, Winter, Giselle, Yunjin, and Jeon Somi shared several TikTok of them in hoodies to promote aespa's "Drama" comeback. It was speculated that they had a sleepover together, thus the comfy hoodies and sweatpants attire.

Yunjin and Winter's dinner date in Japan proved that their friendship is still going strong. It was noted by Korean netizens that aespa and LE SSERAFIM seem to be close to each other since their schedules tend to overlap. They added that it was a pity that some K-pop fans have tried to pit LE SSERAFIM against other groups, especially aespa, in an attempt to alienate the girl group.
Some expressed surprise that Winter and Yunjin were still friends even when it was revealed that HYBE's founder Bang Si Hyuk asked ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin to "crush aespa." However, fans stressed that there was no way their friendship would fall apart just because of their company's representatives.

On the other hand, many expressed shock that fans were able to find out Yunjin was on a dinner date with Winter from that small hint, and joked that those who discovered it must be a detective.
