(G)I-DLE's leader Soyeon shared her candid thoughts on being called the "female G-Dragon."
On July 9, (G)I-DLE members Jeon Soyeon and Miyeon appeared as guests on the YouTube channel "Life84" for an interview over drinks.
Jeon Soyeon, known as a leading singer-songwriter in girl groups, was compared to G-Dragon during her appearance on the show. Both are top idols in their industry with a talent for both singing and rapping and are active in the creative response in their work.
Following the comparison, Soyeon responded humbly, saying, "You shouldn't say that. I would never say such a thing."
With Miyeon recently venturing into acting through the web drama "Delivery" in 2021, Soyeon was asked teasingly by the host if Miyeon might shift to acting permanently. Soyeon responded, "No, we will continue as a team. It's fine if she acts within our team."
Miyeon also expressed her affection for (G)I-DLE, saying, "I am the main vocalist and I love singing."
The hosts, Kian84 and Lee Si Eon asked Soyeon about her ultimate goals. Soyeon candidly shared, "Since I write songs, I would like to produce in the future. I want to continue being an idol for as long as I can. If I don't have to make way for juniors, I wouldn't want to."
Regarding her hit songs like "TOMBOY," "Nxde," and "Queencard," Soyeon compared songwriting to working a regular job, saying, "It's honestly like a regular job. You do it because you have to. When I can't write lyrics, it's not just a slump for a moment; it's a slump all day. But if I keep writing, something eventually comes out."
The idol also shocked many by revealing her ultimate dream, and it has nothing to do with music!

She shared, "My ultimate dream is to be a mother. I originally wanted to get married at 28, but time flew by too quickly." Born in 1998, Jeon Soyeon is now 26 years old.
Despite participating in numerous competition shows like "Produce 101" and "Unpretty Rapstar 3," both shows she went far in but ultimately did not win, Soyeon remains positive. She stated, "After meeting the (G)I-DLE members, I have no regrets in my life."
When repeatedly asked about dating, Soyeon firmly refused to confirm nor deny, stating, "Whether I'm dating or not, I can't say." However, the idol did dish on her ideal type! "I prefer someone without ambition or greed. I am full of ambition and greed, so I like someone who seeks happiness."
