(G)I-DLE Shuhua Garners Backlash Following Attendance At Kai Ko's Birthday Party

(G)I-DLE member Shuhua is being dropped by her fans after she attended actor Kai Ko's birthday party.

On June 18, 2024, Kai Ko celebrated his 33rd birthday. To celebrate, the Taiwanese actor held a small celebration with friends over hotpot. The actor invited a few of his close friends and celebrated his day with a "Frieren" cake.

However, one guest stood out among the rest: Shuhua of (G)I-DLE.

Fans of the female idol were disappointed to see Shuhua being friends with Kai Ko. That is due to the actor's scandalous career.

In 2014, Kai Ko was arrested for drug use alongside Jaycee Chan, the song of Hong Kong film star Jackie Chan. He was apprehended by Beijing Police amid a massive anti-drug crackdown on Chinese celebrities.

At the time, both Kai Ko and Jaycee Chan tested positive for marijuana. After admitting to his drug usage, Kai Ko was sentenced to 14 days in administrative detention. He was released on August 28 and was required to do another round of interrogations by the Taipei District Prosecutors Office in Taiwan.

Ironically, he had starred in an anti-drug advertisement in 2012.

Due to his scandals, fans of Shuhua are slamming the female idol for being friends with Kai Ko, noting how chummy they appeared as she posed next to him in several photos. Chinese and Taiwanese fans of the idol are turning their back on her, stating their dissatisfaction with her friendship circle as one of the reasons.
