Ex-Kep1er Members Yeseo, Mashiro To Re-Debut In Upcoming Girl Group MADEIN

K-pop fans were rocked by recent news of Kep1er members Yeseo and Mashiro's departure and subsequent involvement in the upcoming K-pop girl group MADEIN.

The two idols, formerly part of Kep1er, have signed with 143 Entertainment and are set to embark on a new musical journey, leaving behind a bittersweet trail for their fans.

On July 16, 143 Entertainment shared a logo of upcoming K-pop girl group MADEIN on its official accounts on Instagram and X (Twitter). Korean news outlets also reported that MADEIN will include former Kep1er members Yeseo and Mashiro.

According to sources, the other members of MADEIN apart from the two mentioned idols will be revealed at a later date. It also disclosed that the group name contains the meaning "WE MADEIN U," which describes that the upcoming K-pop act was created through fans' love.

MADEIN is also expected to reach fans around the globe and deliver their unique color in music. Additionally, each member will capture the attention of K-pop fans with their outstanding skills and irresistible charms. K-media also shared that MADEIN is scheduled to debut in September.

Earlier on May 16, Star News shared that all seven members of Kep1er have agreed to contract extensions.

Sources also disclosed that Yeseo and Mashiro have signed a contract with 143 Entertainment and will reportedly join the company's K-pop girl group LIMELIGHT. As a result, Kep1er will now be reorganized as a seven-membered act.

The news caught the attention of 143 Entertainment, which prompted the agency to address the matter. The company shared that 143 held discussions with company CJ ENM regarding Yeseo and Mashiro's future with Kep1er.

"We discussed with CJ ENM until the day before on whether to extend the activities of Yeseo and Mashiro in Kep1er," 143 Entertainment commented. "We are still carefully reviewing the contracts and no final decision has been made."

On May 30, WAKEONE and Swing Entertainment officially confirmed Kep1er's renewal. Kep1er's remaining roster currently includes Yujin, Xiaoting, Chaehyun, Dayeon, Hikaru, Huening Bahiyyih, and Youngeun.

Meanwhile, Mashiro and Yeseo have also confirmed their departure from the group.

"We would like to thank Mashiro and Yeseo for their dedication and hard work for the past two and a half years as members of Kep1er," WAKEONE and Swing Entertainment shared. "We will do our best to support them in their endeavors in the future."

On June 3, Kep1er released their first-ever full album "Kep1going On" and its title track "Shooting Star."
