HyunA Mocked After Her North America Tour Gets Canceled: 'Don't Be So Bold Next Time'

Following her wedding announcement, HyunA reportedly canceled her upcoming tour in North America. Why are netizens mocking her?

To commemorate the release of her EP, "Attitude," earlier on May 2, the K-pop soloist HyunA announced that she will have her solo tour, "2024 My Attitude," starting in North America.Based on the poster, the star will visit eight cities starting August 7 to 21, including Dallas, Houston, New York, Toronto, Chicago, Los Angeles, Seattle, and Berkeley.

At the time, Korean netizens criticized her heavily for attempting to revive her failing career in the Western market after many of her Asian and global fans turned their backs on her.

The main reason was that she was dating Yong Junhyung, a former BEAST member turned soloist who was involved in the horrifying "Burning Sun" scandal.

He was also the ex-boyfriend of her close friend, the late KARA Hara.K-Netz were frustrated that she disrespected the "molka" and sexual assault victims, not to mention that she also broke the "girls' code."

Despite that, her label AT AREA still proceeded with the ticket sales, and HyunA's fans were actually excited to meet her.

But about a month before the tour, many who bought the tickets were notified that their stops had been canceled and that they would just get a refund.

To the fans' confusion, they speculated that the problem was on the organizers' part.

However, seeing that most tour dates were canceled, they concluded that HyunA or AT AREA were most likely the people behind the cancellation.

Since HyunA will get married in October, one of the possible reasons why she will not proceed with the tour is to prepare for her wedding. On July 7, the couple announced that they plan to tie the knot despite only dating for less than a year, highlighting "strong trust and empathy for each other" as the main reason.

The wedding will be intimate with only families, close friends, and acquaintances as guests, and will be held somewhere in Seoul.

However, internet users are highly speculating that she had no choice but to cancel it because it wasn't profitable, and there were still many remaining seats available.

Some fans have felt regret since before dating Yong, when she was regarded as "K-pop's Queen" and is one of the most iconic. But the respect and admiration vanished, and all she's getting now is mockery from people.
