After sustaining an injury from an accident, Park Gyuri went through face surgery and recovery. However, malicious rumors have targeted the KARA member, prompting agency Big Boss Entertainment to release a stern warning against perpetrators.
Earlier on July 13, Park Gyuri was revealed to have suffered cheekbone and orbital fractures after an accident. After going through an examination, medical professionals recommended Park Gyuri to undergo surgery, which would reportedly take four to five weeks.
This led the agency to aid Gyuri in her recovery by limiting all activities that would lead to strain. As a result, Park Gyuri will not be joining KARA for its July schedules.
"Big Boss Entertainment promises to do its best to ensure that the health and safety of our actors are our priorities," the agency shared.
Unfortunately, after the news of Park Gyuri's surgery became public, the incident was followed by unnecessary speculations and malicious comments online.
On July 17, Big Boss Entertainment released an official statement addressing the malicious comments and rumors spreading online. The agency stated that the perpetrators of these criminal acts will receive strong legal action.
Moreover, the agency encouraged fans to report any proof of speculative comments or misinformation online to its official email address. Big Boss Entertainment also shared that Park Gyuri is determined to resume her activities after her recovery.
