On SNS, (G)I-DLE Shuhua was rumored to be dating THIS controversial actor, highlighting supposedly two "pieces of evidence."
In particular, the female idol posted several photos on Instagram on July 16 in which she donned her elegant beauty in purple long sleeves.
Along with her selfies, she also wrote the caption:
"Hey~ I love you."
In a matter of seconds, many colleagues and Nevies (fandom) replied to the idol with "I love you, too," while others praised her beauty.
But among the hundreds of comments, what truly stood out was the one written by Taiwanese actor Kai Ko Chen Tung who left three close-eyed smiley emoticons.
While Shuhua's caption was a line from her group's recently released track, "Klaxon," Chen Tung's sudden engagement in Shuhua's post sparked dating speculation.
This claim intensified when web users found out that Shuhua also attended Chen Tung's birthday party last June. At the time, she returned to Taiwan for "personal reasons."
With these two "proofs," the two celebs ended up embroiled in a dating rumor. However, many weren't happy with this news, as the Taiwanese actor has a controversial past. As a brief background, Kai Ko rose to fame beyond Taiwan, especially in South Korea, for his debut film, "You Are the Apple of My Eye," released in 2011.

However, he has a criminal record after being arrested on charges of smoking marijuana at home in 2014.
When the rumor spread, the male actor eventually deleted his comment. In an interview with the press, he refuted the dating speculation and said:
"I happened to pass by her account and left a comment. If I've caused trouble for everyone or her, I'm really sorry."
Cube Entertainment also denied it, saying:
"The rumors are groundless."
Amid this, (G)I-DLE, a girl group Shuhua is a part of, released their 7th mini album, "I SWAY" on July 8. They are currently promoting its title track, "KLAXON."
Through this release, the quintet has become a three-consecutive million-seller. According to the Hanteo Chart on July 15, the mini-album recorded 1,026,973 copies in the initial week (album sales for a week based on the release date), following its sixth mini-album, "I FEEL," in 2023 and its second full album, "2," in January this year.
They also achieve good results on music charts every day. The title song, "KLAXON," has settled in the top ranks of major domestic music charts, such as 3rd place on Melon Hot 100 (within 30 days of release), 9th place on Hot 100 (within 100 days of release), and 6th place on Genie-Bugs real-time chart. It gradually rises on the Melon Top 100, showing an extraordinary upward trend.
