Korean netizens have shared their reactions to the current whereabouts of Cheng Xiao, a former member of WJSN.
On July 19, 2024, a post titled "Ex-WJSN Cheng Xiao's whereabouts in China right now" was uploaded to TheQoo, a popular online community forum from South Korea. In the post, the original poster shared photos from Cheng Xiao's Instagram, which were posted on July 18 to celebrate her birthday.
In the comments, Korean netizens shared varying reactions to her current visuals. Some stated that she looked the same as her WJSN days and that she was still as pretty as ever. Many cheered her on as she pursued activities in China, having left the K-pop industry years ago.
Others, however, claimed she changed too much. They claimed that her styling has leaned towards an aesthetic most Chinese girls try to embody, while some claimed they didn't notice it was Cheng Xiao because she looked so different. Many believe that she edited her photos too much and that she was starting to resemble Lee Da Hee.

Cheng Xiao debuted as a member of WJSN in 2016 as one of three Chinese members (alongside Xuanyi and Meiqi). She promoted with the group for a little over two years until she returned to China in 2018 to begin her solo activities in the country.
For five years, she remained an inactive member of the group until her official withdrawal in March 2023. Currently, she is active as an actress and soloist in China under her agency, Yuehua Entertainment.
