YG Entertainment founder Yang Hyun Suk shared updates on a new announcement video, which revealed the upcoming activities of legendary K-pop act 2NE1. The news eventually made it on social media and triggered ecstatic reactions from Blackjacks!

On July 22, YG Entertainment released a video announcement titled "2025 YG PLAN." The video featured the agency's founder, Yang Hyun Suk, who enthusiastically shared the plans for its artists.

The video started with 2NE1's endeavors. According to Yang Hyun Suk, 2NE1 members CL, Dara, Minzy, and Park Bom have informed the founder that they would like to hold concerts to celebrate their 15th anniversary.

This led Yang Hyun Suk and 2NE1 to discuss the plans ahead to make the concerts happen in 2024. Afterwards, Yang Hyun Suk was asked about specific details regarding 2NE1's global tour, such as its locations and dates.

Yang Hyun Suk shared that the activity will start in October in Seoul and that the company had already reserved a performance venue in Osaka and Tokyo, in November and December. However, Yang Hyun Suk clarified that schedule adjustments are still being made.

"Today, I have some very exciting news I'd like to share in this interview. The first girl group YG announced and the first successful YG girl group was 2NE1. 

The members of 2NE1 informed me that they'd like to hold a concert commemorating their 15th anniversary. So we caught up and happily discussed making it all happen within this year." 

"It will start in early October in Seoul and we already booked a performance venue in Osaka and Tokyo for the end of November and December. We're in the process of adjusting schedules for further performances."

Yang Hyun Suk added:

"I think this concert will be quite special. It resonates with those who grew up with 2NE1's music, sharing those memories, and in the case of 2NE1, they have an incredible number of hit songs, so all the staff are working hard together to create a successful show."
