Red Velvet Seulgi Criticized For Showing Boycotted Brand In Vlog + ReVeluvs Call Idol's Attention

Seulgi has been criticized for showing a can of Coca-Cola in her latest vlog. The incident also ignited mixed reactions from fans, who called out and educated the idol regarding the gravity of the situation. Meanwhile, netizens also pointed out idols' constant "showing" of brands nowadays.

On July 26, Seulgi uploaded her newest vlog on her YouTube channel, "Hi Seulgi." The video was titled, "I really can't resist delicious food. VLOG of conquering all the delicious restaurants in Kaohsiung." Seulgi expressed her love for food, and fans couldn't be happier with the idol's new content.

The video also included Seulgi enjoying beef noodle soup. However, during her meal, the idol was shown to be drinking Coca-Cola at the 13:48 mark.

The incident prompted fans and netizens to call the idol's attention and inform her of the brand's boycott of the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip.

Meanwhile, some recalled when idols were extra careful in showing brands in their video content or live broadcasts. Others expressed their disappointment and encouraged fans to inform Seulgi of the matter. .

In other news, Seulgi posted an apology on her official Instagram account, addressing an incident with her manager at the Incheon International Airport.

According to numerous posts online, Seulgi originally wore high heels but later swapped shoes with her manager at the Kaohsiung International Airport. The idol came under fire when netizens claimed that Seulgi had caused discomfort for the staff member.

"I apologize to my manager for the incident at the airport and also for causing disappointment to many. During that time, my feet developed blisters due to practicing, and since the heels I wore weren't that high, I thought that it'd be okay if I didn't prepare sneakers."

"However, as I continued walking (with the heels), new wounds formed, and when I arrived in Kaohsiung, my manager noticed that it would be difficult for me to perform, which led to the suggestion to swap footwear."

Seulgi added:

"I apologize to those who were disappointed by my actions, as I couldn't think of any other way to solve the problem and that I have made the wrong choice. I'm sorry to my manager, who may have been upset."

"I have personally apologized to my manager and I will do my best to be more careful in the future."
