On X, K-pop fans expressed frustration after Chaeyeon deleted her selfie after ABSURD accusations from IVE Rei's supporters.
On August 3, former IZ*ONE-turned-soloist Lee Chaeyeon took to Instagram to share her selfies flaunting her OOTD from local brands.
In the three photos, the female idol boasted her fair skin, long legs, and perfect physique, making her beauty stand out even more, although her face was hidden.
To make the post livelier, she even doodled on her photos, but one image particularly drew massive attention, and this is where she wrote the word "OOTD" and two vertical designs.
This photo was shared on X, and the OP blatantly accused Chaeyeon of copying IVE Rei, who did the same doodle first. According to some netters, the drawing isn't a filter.
Thus, the female idol is said to have stolen it from her junior. This immediately earned sour reactions from DIVEs (IVE fandom) since they felt like Rei was discredited from something she had started.

Chaeyeon was then called out not only on X but also on her Instagram comment section, and it became intense. She had to explain what happened. The singer bowed her head and said:
"Oh, I really didn't know that. I'm so sorry."
She then edited her post and tagged IVE Rei. Later on, however, Chaeyeon decided to delete the controversial photo instead. As a result, CHERISH (Chaeyeon's fandom) was disappointed that the star was forced to remove her photo and apologized for an "absurd" reason, although Rei didn't own the doodle.
Those who also support both were confident that Rei wouldn't mind it if Chaeyeon used the same doodle, as aside from being her junior, the latter is also a friend of her fellow IVE, Jang Wonyoung, and An Yujin.
With this, CHERISH is leaving positive comments on her Instagram such as :
- "Whoever left that comment was absolutely rude Chaeyeon. Don't listen to them, you did a trend, there is nothing wrong with it. You did amazing."
- "Had to remove the picture because of those lowlife fans. Those fans really need to touch the grass."
- "There's nothing wrong with you, Chaeyeon."
- "You don't need to apologize for joining a trend. I love you!"
Meanwhile, Lee Chaeyeon is continuing her activities, such as appearing on SBS's "Kick a Goal!" after finishing official promotions for her third mini album, "SHOWDOWN."
On July 3, she dropped the album along with its title track, "Don't," as part of her schedule; she joined the water-themed summer music festival, "WATERBOMB BUSAN," on July 27.
Although it is her first time, Chaeyeon showed her extraordinary presence as a "Performance Queen" performing her solo songs such as "Summer Heat," "LET'S DANCE," and "KNOCK."
