PLEDIS Entertainment has provided an update on the future activities of SEVENTEEN members Jeonghan and Jun for the remainder of 2024. Jeonghan will be entering military service, while Jun plans to explore acting opportunities in China.

This announcement quickly elicited responses from SEVENTEEN's fanbase, known as CARATs, online.

On August 12, PLEDIS released an official statement 

outlining Jeonghan and Jun's plans for the second half of 2024. The statement confirmed that Jeonghan will be enlisting in the military and has pre-recorded content in anticipation of his absence.

Jeonghan will not be able to participate in SEVENTEEN's promotional activities for their upcoming 12th mini album and the 'RIGHT HERE' world tour in October. However, he will still attend the group's fansign event and perform at Lollapalooza Berlin.

Additionally, the company announced that Jun will travel to China to pursue acting and other opportunities during the remaining months of 2024. Similar to Jeonghan, Jun has also pre-recorded content but will be unable to participate in the 12th mini album promotions and world tour

"Hello. This is PLEDIS Entertainment.

We would like to inform you about the activities of SEVENTEEN members Jeonghan and Jun for the second half of 2024.

Jeonghan will fulfill his military service in the second half and has filmed most of the content he could in advance. He will not be able to participate in the promotional activities for the 12th mini album and the SEVENTEEN [RIGHT HERE] WORLD TOUR in October.

Jeonghan would still be able to greet CARATs at the fan signing event and Lollapalooza Berlin. We will reveal more details about Jeonghan's military service in a separate notice.

After in-depth discussions with Jun and other SEVENTEEN members, it was decided that Jun would pursue acting and other opportunities in China during the second half of the year. Like Jeonghan, June has also filmed content in advance.

However, he will not be able to attend the Lollapalooza Berlin, music show performances for the 12th mini album, and world tour due to an overlap with an on-site filming schedule. Jun has also expressed his determination to join other SEVENTEEN activities to interact with CARATs.
