BLACKPINK Jisoo is in hot water for allegedly ignoring BABYMONSTER. BLINKs immediately jumped to the idol's defense.
In the online community Nate Pann, Jisoo garnered hateful comments from K-Netz after mentioning MEOVV and member Ella Gross on her personal Instagram.
On Aug. 2nd, YG's affiliate agency THEBLACKLABEL revealed the first member of its first-ever girl group on its official SNS.
In the photo unveiled, the familiar face of Ella Gross was seen. Initially known as a famous child model and "ulzzang," her beauty was popular on the web.
THEBLACKLABEL also released a debut trailer video where she left a strong impression with her charismatic facial expression and acting.
As soon as the clip was revealed, Ella gained explosive responses from K-pop stans, and even claimed the top spot of YouTube trending video chart upon its release.
However, not only did the K-pop community show their support for the rookie but she also got a shoutout from BLACKPINK Jisoo through her Instagram story.
The global K-pop star reposted Ella's debut trailer and tagged their official accounts, showing their unchanging close relationship.

Before becoming an idol trainee, Ella was known for being "Little Jennie" due to their uncanny resemblance. She was also a BLACKPINK fan, and all four members adored her so much.
Jisoo tagging Ella on SNS was a harmless gesture, but some complained how the idol supported MEOVV yet "ignored" BABYMONSTER since their debut. The girl group is YG's first girl group in six years after BLACKPINK.
The OP claimed:
"BLACKPINK didn't mention BABYMONSTER, but she promoted MEOVV right away. It seems like the real "BLACKPINK's little sister" is Teddy's girl group."
Upon uploading, the article amassed over 90,000 views, and in the comments, the majority of internet users disagreed with them and then defended Jisoo.
BLINKs retorted that the idol is not BAEMON's social media manager and that she has no obligation to promote the team.
They also explained that Jisoo only supported Ella and her debut in the group because they were originally close like siblings.
Here are some of the comments:
"This is really absurd. BLACKPINK and Ella have been friends since they were young. When BLACKPINK's song came out and (Jisoo) made her solo debut, Ella even uploaded it on her Instagram story; When we're close, do you think it's weird that she uploads it? Don't be sarcastic for no reason."
"No, Ella has been close with BLACKPINK since she was 9 years old, and when Ella was young, she was like their younger sister and did live broadcasts with BLACKPINK. She and Rosé also went to an amusement park together, and they have remained close ever since.
Ella celebrates their birthdays, comes to their concerts, and promotes their solos. They have been doing well up until recently, so I guess (Jisoo) promotes them, too. What's wrong with promoting someone you're close with?"
Meanwhile, THEBLACKLABEL's first girl group, MEOVV, will debut in September.
