This summer, JYP's band Day6 had a reverse-driving popularity after the rise of their previous tracks, "You Were Beautiful" and "Time of Our Life."

Continuing this momentum, the quartet, composed of Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil, and Dowoon, made a comeback with their 9th mini-album "Band Aid" on Sept. 2nd.

Just a day after its release, the song showed an overwhelming rise in domestic music charts, and title track "Melt Down" recorded their first-ever Real-Time All-Kill (RAK). The song placed No. 1 on all Korean major charts including Genie, Bugs, Vibe, MelOn's Hot 100, and more.

Surprisingly, Day6 even sat No. 1 on the major Korean music chart Melon Top 100 with "Melt Down," beating aespa's global hit "Supernova."

With this, the band wrote history after sweeping the top spot on local music charts for the first time since their debut in 2015.

Day6 also joined the only 8 artists so far who were able to achieve RAK this year: IU, BIBI, (G)I-DLE, ILLIT, ZICO feat. Jennie, and Lee Young Ji feat. D.O.

Furthermore, all eight songs from the album "Band Aid" entered MelOn Top 100, Genie, and Bugs, along with four previous releases, such as "Welcome to the Show," "Time of Our Life, "You're Beautiful," and "HAPPY."

Even on YouTube Korea, "Melt Down" MV also boasted its power by ranking third in the trending music chart.

Meanwhile, Day6's influence spread beyond South Korea after "Band Aid" ranked 10th on the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart on Sept. 2nd, and No. 1 on the iTunes Album Charts in 9 regions overseas, including Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam, as of the 3rd.

Day6's 9th mini-album "Band Aid" is a play to the combination of the words "band," which means rock group, and "aid," which means "to help."

The four members Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil, and Dowoon participated in writing the lyrics and composing all the songs, and the lead song consists of the message that "everything melts because of 'you' when it feels like the world is freezing in despair," and it is a track with a strong yet cheerful sound and warm lyrics.

After getting off to a smooth start with record-breaking results on the first day of the release of their new album, Day6 will continue their comeback promotions and hold a concert at Incheon Inspire Arena from September 20th to 22nd, kicking off their third world tour "FOREVER YOUNG."
