A top-tier 2nd-gen idol faces a divorce rumor after her husband was caught hanging out with women until dawn. What happened?
On Sept. 5th, photos of baseball player Hwang Jae Gyun drinking with men and women from night until morning were revealed in an exclusive report by OSEN.
Hwang is the husband of T-ARA Jiyeon, and they have been married since 2022.
They were doing well until recently, they were rumored to have been in the process of getting a divorce. This speculation arose in June after commentator Lee Kwang Gil mistakenly mentioned the topic while chatting with the caster during the baseball game's break.
The remark was even broadcast live on YouTube, leading the issue to grow bigger. Regarding this, Jiyeon's close associates flatly stated:
"The divorce rumors are groundless."
Regarding the photos of Hwang at the bar, the informant explained:
"As KT Wiz's most senior player, it is incomprehensible that a married man would drink with a woman until dawn during an important season and before the fall baseball season."

When the issue sparked more speculations and criticism, an official from Hwang's team clarified that he didn't disrupt the game by drinking until dawn and said:
"When we asked Hwang Jae Gyun, he confirmed that he came up to Seoul after the Daejeon game on Aug. 31st and drank alcohol until the morning of Sept. 1st. That day was a day off with no games or training."
However, they refused to comment on the athlete's sightings of drinking with other women.
"It is true that they had a drinking party, but it is difficult to provide a separate answer as to who he was with, etc., as this is the player's private matter."
Meanwhile, as the story of Hwang Jae Gyun being seen drinking spreads, even more attention is being focused on the relationship between the two.
Jiyeon remained silent following her divorce rumor, but according to the Korean media outlet, the idol is busy preparing to resume her activities as a YouTuber. In 2019, she first pursued a career of being a content creator in the middle of T-ARA's inactivity.
