Former IZ*ONE member Honda Hitomi is set to return to the K-pop scene with Kim Jae Joong's new girl group SAY MY NAME. The news comes after rumors regarding the idol re-debuting under inKODE Entertainment swirled across the internet.
The rumors were then steered clear on September 13, when SAY MY NAME revealed Hitomi as the seventh and final member joining the lineup. In a colorful teaser video, Hitomi had fans gasping with her cute visuals and aura.

Fans reacted with eagerness to the idol's clip:

IZ*ONE disbanded in 2021, leaving Hitomi and other members to have their separate paths. In the case of Hitomi, the idol continued her career in the J-pop girl group AKB48. Afterwards, Hitomi graduated from the group, placing questions regarding her career.
Apart from Hitomi, SAY MY NAME also includes members Mei, Soha, Dohee, Kanny, Junhwi, and Seungjoo. The group is expected to debut in October 2024.
