BTS Jungkook became a hot topic following his Instagram posts alluding to the HYBE-ADOR conflict. Did he support or snipe at Min Hee Jin? Big Hit Music released its explanation.
On Sept. 15th, Big Hit Music released its statement responding to BTS Jungkook's posts on Instagram the day before.
In particular, the global icon drew attention last Saturday after writing cryptic captions to his dog Bam's photos posted on its separate account.
In the first one, he wrote, "Artists are not guilty," then added five hearts with different colors: blue, pink, yellow, green, and purple.
Upon seeing this, K-pop fans claimed that he could be referencing NewJeans and their individual official colors, hinting at his support for the group in the middle of HYBE and ADOR's legal battle.
As the girl group is currently demanding Chairman Bang Si Hyuk to reinstate Min Hee Jin as ADOR's CEO by the 25th, netizens are guessing this is also Jungkook's way of backing Min and NewJeans' goal to regain the old system of the sub-label.
However, K-pop stans and ARMYs (BTS fans) got confused when the "Seven" singer made a follow-up post where he stated, "Don't use them."
Rather than support Min Hee Jin, fans set the facts straight. They asserted that Jungkook is showing love only to NewJeans and is actually calling out the former CEO for "using" and involving the girl group in adult matters.
Due to confusion, Jungkook's label clarified the idol's intention behind the posts, yet it didn't answer if the male idol was actually supporting a certain side. They said:
"We have confirmed that he posted it because he thought that under no circumstances should young artists be dragged into a dispute and used as a shield."
