K-pop diva Chungha has reportedly stepped down from her DJ role in "Chungha's Volume Up."
On September 30, MORE VISION announced Chungha's step-down as DJ of KBS CoolFM's "Volume Up."
The soloist has been the show's host since October 2, 2023, and she would now be having her final live session on October 4, which would be followed by pre-recorded broadcasts on October 5 and 6.
The outlet imparted a statement detailing Chungha's thoughts on leaving the show while also reflecting on her time as the program's host. Chungha shared:
"It was a precious time that I will forever remember and I could say that I will never experience the same feeling elsewhere.
I would like to thank the people who have always cared for and supported me, as I was able to grow a lot. In the meantime, I think I'll feel quite empty."
Chungha added that the decision was rooted in her need to focus on her music career. Moreover, the production team also respected her choice and that they would continue to support Chungha in her future endeavors.
