SM's new girl group (SMNGG) is coming!
Ahead of their debut, the visuals and physique of the prospective members drew attention, especially a trainee who looks like Irene.
Before 2024 ends, SM Entertainment is set to introduce a new K-pop female act in about 4 years since aespa took off in 2020.
Ahead of their much-awaited entry into the K-pop scene, fans and netizens have been sharing limited and rare glimpses of the members who remain kept under wraps until now.
In a new update, insiders from Weibo shared a photo of nine idol trainees who seemed to have been doing a dance cover of SNSD's "Gee." Although their faces were blurred, they ignited excitement as they already seemed like a group with their proportions and vibe complementing each other.
In still-cuts from what seems to be a filming studio, two members' faces were unveiled, and although they are still unnamed, Chinese and international fans can't hide their delight seeing the stunning beauty of the members.
Among the viral members, one trainee's side profile became a hot topic for resembling Red Velvet Irene and people couldn't agree more!
So far, there is only little information about the group but there are rumors that they will be multinational, and this time, SM Entertainment will have Southeast Asians.
Unfortunately, K-pop fans won't be able to see one of the much-anticipated trainees Na Ha Eun as a member of the girl group, after she leaves around June. She moved to Highup Entertainment in September and is preparing to debut with STAYC's upcoming junior group.
