In an interview, a hairstylist further exposed this 3rd-gen idol's "main character" syndrome as well as attitude toward staff and group members.
On Oct. 1st, a hairstylist sat down with Sports Kyunghyang for an interview about April and its former member Hyunjoo, who accused the girl group of bullying her during their active days back in 2021.
Obviously, netizens took the victim's side, which prompted April to disband.
Three years after the incident, witnesses are suddenly speaking up about it after remaining silent, and revealed that Hyunjoo wasn't bullied. She was the bully.
Hairstylist A claimed that April is the kindest girl group they met, and refuted that they ever made something to ostracize Hyunjoo. Rather, the former member was the one who had an "unpredictable" personality.
She explained:
"Rather than bullying, the atmosphere was that she would stick out on her own and not know where she would turn, so not only the members but also the staff didn't mess with her."
The stylist insisted that bullying is impossible, comparing the idol to a "bomb that slight trigger will make it explode." At the time, the staff recalled how April took care of Hyunjoo better.

Regarding the star's attitude, the stylist further revealed:
"The label always puts Hyunjoo at the center. She knew she was the prettiest and developed a mindset that she had to be the prettiest. We call that 'main character syndrome.' On top of that, Hyunjoo had a victim mentality. So how could there not be trouble?"
As someone who has worked for the group since their trainee days, the stylist went on to claim that Hyunjoo didn't show affection to her co-members or her idol career.
