Baek Yerin Accuses Ha Sungwoon's OST for 'Love Next Door' of Plagiarizing Song '0310'

Popular soloist-songwriter Baek Yerin took to Instagram to call out the music team behind Ha Sungwoon's new OST for allegedly copying her song.

On Instagram, the singer surprised her followers after posting Ha Sungwoon's official soundtrack "What Are We," the official soundtrack of the hit romance drama "Love Next Door," released on Sept. 4th.

It initially appeared as if she was promoting the song. But a second look at her caption left fans furrowing their brows.

"It must you to svck copying. Feel bad. If you want a song like mine, please ask me so."

Apparently, the soloist claims that the OST is plagiarized from her popular song, "O310," dropped 5 years ago in 2019 as part of her album, "Every Letter I Sent You."

Listening to the song, the guitar intro has a striking resemblance fans initially thought both videos were taken from one song only.

Korean netizens then criticized the show for this "unfair" move and asked the production to apologize as well as credit Baek properly for the song.

Meanwhile, HA:NEULs (Sungwoon's fans) are asking other netters to refrain from attacking the male idol since he only sings the soundtrack and wasn't the composer or producer of the song.

Here are some of the comments:

  • "Wow, when I first heard it, I also thought it was '0310'."
  • "If Baek Yerin came to the point of sniping, then it's plagiarism."
  • "I heard it and it feels like a remake."
  • "I don't know much about this stuff so I always thought it was similar but as soon as I heard it I thought it was just too alike."
